Ashton | Warhill High School | Class of 2020

Meet Ashton! Ashton is part of the MNP Senior Team, and is currently a senior at Warhill.  This is Ashton’s second year on the team, and let me tell you, Ashton knows exactly what she wants, and how she wanted her sessions (teen & senior) to be!

Prior to each of my seniors’ session with me, we meet up at my studio, and I have them go over everything to prepare for their session; from clothing, locations, hair and makeup.   Ashton wanted a preppy vibe that included vineyards, polo games, and old buildings.  Ashton selected to upgrade her session, which gave her more time and the option to travel outside of Williamsburg.  Since Ashton wanted a preppy vibe, she asked if I would be up for doing her session at King Family Vineyard, located in Crozet, Virginia, right outside of Charlottesville (Go ‘Hoos!). Anything that allows me to travel and go to UVA, I am all for it!

Ashton’s session took place on a very hot summer day in mid- August. One of the perks to Ashton upgrading her session, was that she could have unlimited outfits, and she had so many cute outfits of her own, as well from Three Sisters Boutique. Since it was sooo hot, I knew that we would not get to take advantage of all of the cute outfits.

After Ashton’s hair and makeup was done, we traveled about two hours to the Charlottesville area to King Family Vineyard. When we arrived, there was a polo game going on, and that was just up Ashton’s alley!

Here is Ashton’s first outfit.  For sure gave me some preppy, college vibes! Ashton wanted to wear her sweater over her button up shirt, but it was so hot, that I had her layer it over her shoulders…it gave me Carlton feels from Fresh Prince of Bel Air!

We then left the vineyard, and headed to the University of Virginia  to continue Ashton’s session.  I am a little partial and bias, since UVA is my alma mater.  When we arrived at UVA, I gave Ashton a little tour, and went down memory lane.  Ashton will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall, so we joked about how she was having her pictures done at UVA.

We then went to Memorial Gymnasium aka “Mem Gym”, and took some pictures on the tennis court.  Afterwards, we headed to The Lawn.

After we left The Lawn, we headed down to Rugby Road, and finished  Ashton’s session with an outfit from Three Sisters Boutique.

 

After we finished Ashton’s session, we headed down to The Corner, and had some dinner at Mellow Mushroom, before heading back home! Such a fun time, and it brought back so many great memories!

Ashton, I love your session, and I had so much fun with you! I wish you the best in your future endeavors!  Ashton will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall, and she plans to major in Business Marketing with a minor in International Business and plans to attend law school after college.
